Cashier and Customer Service Representative

Position Overview

As our Cashier, you’ll be the first and last face our customers see. You’ll handle transactions quickly and accurately while maintaining a friendly, upbeat attitude. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail in cash handling, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately at the register or POS system
• Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments efficiently and securely
• Maintain accurate cash drawer counts before and after shifts
• Ensure orders are entered correctly and communicate clearly with baristas and kitchen staff
• Provide menu guidance and suggest specials or seasonal drinks
• Manage lines effectively during busy periods with calm and professionalism
• Keep the front counter, pastry case, and condiment area clean and stocked
• Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including balancing the till and light cleaning
• Help restock supplies, cups, lids, napkins, and other items as needed
• Support team members wherever needed to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous cash-handling experience required (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Customer service experience in a café, restaurant, or retail setting
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor
• Dependable and punctual with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset — willing to help out wherever needed
